Troubleshooting SimNet, Moza & Simagic Pedals – Connection & Calibration IssuesUpdated 3 months ago
Internal Troubleshooting Checklist
When a customer reaches out about SimNet, Moza, or Simagic pedals not working, check the following:
Have they calibrated the pedals?
Ask if they’ve used the correct calibration method for their pedal model (SimNet, Moza Pit House, Simagic software, etc.).
What firmware version are they on?
SimNet uses its own firmware. Verify if they’ve ever updated it or if they’re still on factory firmware.
Have they tried different USB cables and ports?
Always recommend testing with a direct connection to a rear motherboard USB port (no hub/extension).
Are the pedals being detected in Windows / Game Controllers?
Ask if they appear in Device Manager or game controller settings.
What is their connection method?
Direct USB to PC? Through a hub? Into a base (e.g. Simagic Alpha)? Clarify if they’re using Maglink or standalone USB.
Are any other devices (wheels, shifters, handbrakes) conflicting?
Conflicting USB peripherals or driver stacks can cause input issues.
What software is running in the background?
Steam Input, DS4Windows, or other sim tools can cause interference.
Have they tested on a second PC or user profile (if available)?
Isolation testing helps confirm if it's hardware or system-related.
